1. In this tutorial we are going to clone the website petetesting.com installed in our WordPressPete at IP: http://45.56.77.105

2. Go to your preferred DNS server manager and point your domain or subdomain to the IP of the server where you have installed WordPressPete. For this example we are going to use the Linode DNS Manager. Create an AAA record and point it to the server IP (only for production environment).

Wait a couple of hours for your DNS servers to update the records. You should now see the WordPressPete login page when you browse to your subdomain.

3. Go to your WordPressPete installation. Then click on “Create New WordPress”, choose the clone action, and select the WordPress site you want to clone. Finally, set the project’s name and URL.

4. You can also use the domain template functionality to make the cloning process even faster with WordPressPete. Configure a wildcard subdomain in your DNS server. For this example we are going to use the domain petetesting.com as template domain.

Wait a couple of hours for your DNS servers to update the records. You should now see the WordPressPete login page in any subdomain you browse.

Go to Options -> Create Option -> and set the option_name to domain_template and option_value to your domain of choice.

Now go to your WordPressPete installation and click on “Create New WordPress”. You can now clone any site that is installed in this WordPressPete to any subdomain in just a few minutes.
